High Resolution
Accepting the input from virtually any video source, the PDS-5001 is the
perfect Convergent Visual Medium™ for numerous applications. It can display
images in true 1080i and 720p HDTV as well as 480i and 480p SDTV signals,
with its 1366 x 768 high-resolution pixel array. The PDS-5001 can also display
the video output from a computer up to UXGA resolution, to display computer
graphics with extraordinary clarity and color definition.

The Fujitsu PDS-5001 Plasmavision Slimscreen monitor is truly the ultimate
50-inch plasma display. With an amazing contrast ratio of 3000:1 and brightness
of 500 cd/m2, the PDS-5001 can be used in a variety of applications, regardless
of room brightness. Just 3.8 inches thin and weighing a mere 99 pounds, the
PDS-5001 removes virtually all installtion and aesthetic barriers from visual
display sources.
AVM (Advanced Video Movement) Digital Video Processor
The PDS-5001 incorporates a host of additional image-enhancing technologies
for unsurpassed image quality. Built with Fujitsu's AVM advanced digital
video signal processor, it virtually eliminates motion artifacts and flicker,
improves vertical resolution and reproduces natural movement with ease. The
processor's built-in line doubler converts NTSC signals and uses different
types of processing for moving and still pictures, yielding smoother images
with more natural movement and without visible scan lines. High definition
Television (HDTV) and DVD signals are enhanced by the processor to achieve
the optimum image for the plasma display.
Complete Convergence
The PDS-5001 features an expanded complement of inputs including component
video, S-video, composite video, analog RGB and an RS-232 control port.
The PDS-5001 provides a greater range of picture adjustments, accessible
via its easy to use on-screen menu and supplied remote control. The PDS-5001
offers installation flexibility in a wide variety of applications.
